Sunshine Lane Hay is owned by Celeste Schiffner and her brother Jesse Schiffner. They are experts in the industry, having owned and worked with horses for decades. After moving with her horses to South Florida, Celeste struggled to find quality hay and feed for her animals in the area. Florida hay has very low nutrient content and can lead to colic. We focus our hay buying primarily in Canada and the norther states. Sunshine Lane Hay was born out of the need for great hay and feed options in an area with so few.
Sunshine Lane Hay is one of Florida’s premier equine supply companies. Horse owners have created a demand for Alfalfa, Orchard/Alfalfa and Timothy/Alfalfa Hay. These types of hay are not grown in Florida or anywhere in Southeast USA. Our Hay is always blister beetle free, and we source NON-GM and of the highest quality hay we can find year-round.
Sunshine Lanes Hay has operated for over 10 years in Florida, and has developed an extensive network of hay suppliers, becoming a respected distributor throughout Southwest Florida. Our strong relationships with hay suppliers ensures that our customers enjoy premium hay supply at competitive prices.
In addition to our regular hay supply, custom mixed Grass/Alfalfa percentages are available on request. Many horse farms have specific preferred mixes, and our team will work to accommodate our customers’ specific needs. Reduce the need for supplements by providing your animals with hay that includes the nutrients they need with a taste and texture they enjoy.
We also carry bedding, fine, flake and pellets. Alfalfa hay is high in protein making it an excellent choice for nutrient rich hay in the Florida region. Our Orchard/Alfalfa blend is a softer hay, which can lead to less waste. Our Timothy/Alfalfa is one of the most common nutritionally balanced options, making it our bestselling hay.
New shipments arrive weekly from our indoor protected storage sheds, ensuring that your animals are getting fresh, high quality hay and feed. Our hay is stored in a beautiful barn ensuring longevity.
